Happy New Year to all of our wonderful families and staff! We warmly welcome 2024 at Blue Willow Day Nursery Slough and Blue Willow Day Nursery Holmer Green.

Our 2023 Best Bits!

Blue Willow Day Nursery Holmer Opens – April 2023

Opening our second small, homely day nursery was such a fantastic achievement for us. We are receiving great feedback from families registered with us, and becoming known within the wider community. Our core values are being delivered by our amazing team and we are very proud of what they have achieved so far! Go team Holmer Green!

Blue Willow Day Nursery –  Slough Ofsted Inspection  – July 2023

We received our Ofsted inspection in slough in July 2023, which always makes us a little nervous, but we didn’t need to be. The inspection process was great, and are proud to share we are a good nursery! Go team Slough!

‘Children have plenty of opportunities to develop their physical skills in the large
outside area throughout the day. Children enjoy having their snacks and lunch in
groups in the garden. They sit with their friends and the staff, animatedly chatting
about their day and what they have done at home. Parents comment on how their
children have developed their social skills as they have learned to mix with children
of all ages.’

3. The importance of outdoor play and preparing for spring!

Outdoor play is one of our most important values. Children love being outside without restrictions from the weather, or adults! Who wants to know why and how we promote this for our children all year round? We will share it with you!

Strengthening our core values within our day nurseries

We shared our core values in our previous post……we will continue to share more information in our upcoming posts about why they are so important to us, and what are doing at Blue Willow Day Nursery Slough and Blue Willow Day Nursery Holmer Green to promote them!

New Year activity suggestion

Planting Seeds:

Allow children to plant seeds in pots or a small garden area. Discuss the plant life cycle, the importance of water and sunlight, and watch as the seeds sprout and grow. This hands-on activity fosters an understanding of nature and responsibility.
