Messy Play = Messy Children
Children will have access to water, mud, sand, and paint whilst playing outside. We have wetsuits and aprons available but, in our experience, it takes time and is often disruptive to stop a child from splashing in a mud puddle for example to put on a wetsuit. It takes time to stop a child from painting to put on an apron. Children lose their thought process, and sometimes interest in the activity altogether so to be honest, we prefer not to. If children are warm and safe, happy, and learning we don’t mind children getting messy and dirty. In fact, we quite like it!
A typical day for a child at Blue Willow is arriving for their session and helping to make fresh playdoh for they day. Then they go and find their outdoor clothing and wellies, and head outside to help practitioners set the garden up for the day, rain, or shine! Areas are well resourced to promote interest and learning, but they always stay the same so children know where their favourite things are.

Funding
We accept Government funding for eligible 2 year olds and all 3 year olds the term following their third birthday. Funding is offered over half days or full days and we stretch the entitlement over the number of weeks the nursery is open during year.
The Government funding does not cover the cost of any consumables or meals of which are provided by the nursery
